經博三杜業榮的信箱(外系同學如不曉得信箱位置可至系辦詢問)
經濟系與外系同學的作業分開放(經濟系同學的在紙袋內)
本次作業主要有兩個問題
1.判斷正(負)半定矩陣必須檢查"所有"的principle minors
(參見阿福開的參考書,Hoy et al., p.506)
這個陷阱有考過
2.關於y=(0.5x1^2+0.5x2^2)^0.5的判斷
請注意下面兩個proposition
(1)If the function U is concave and the function g is nondecreasing and concave
then the function f defined by f (x) = g(U(x)) is concave.
上面這條是老師講義裡寫的
(2)If the function U is convex and the function g is nondecreasing and convex
then the function f defined by f (x) = g(U(x)) is convex.
這條老師講義裡未提到

由於本題U is convex,而g卻是concave,在這個情況下似乎無法透過U來判斷g
