Write down the names of all the participants in your session on the
whiteboard during the session.
Invite as many people as time allowed. At the end of the session, remind the
audience to vote for the best speaker, and thank all the participants. Then
welcome back the Toastmaster of the Evening.
Joke Master:
Joke session(10-15 minutes)is usually scheduled in the first half of the
meeting, served as the appetizer, to warm up the meeting with laugher. Before
the meeting, you are suggested to invite 3-5 members to prepare in advance to
share their jokes. You as the joke master are recommended to have a few jokes
ready to fill up the gap.
Briefly state the purpose of this session: Served as the appetizer to warm up
the meeting with laughter. Both guests and members are welcome to share their
jokes.
Table Topics Master:
Table Topics session(10-15 minutes)is usually in the second half of the
meeting.
You are suggested to briefly state the purpose of the Table Topics session:
- Every member speaks at a meeting
- To have members think on their feet and speak for a minute or so
Before the session, make a name list of those who do not have assignment, nor
did they participate in the joke session.
State your questions briefly,(Avoid long or too complicated questions. Avoid
racial, religions, sex, and privacy topics. Current events are good topics.)
then call on a respondent.
Ask one question only in one member. There should be at least 5 members to be
called upon. Prepare more questions then needed is recommended. Open 2 questions
for volunteers, and others are picking people.
