After Robert Lee, the famed Confederate general, surrendered in 1865 to
Ulysses Grant, supreme commander of the Unionist armies, his nephew General
Fitzhugh Lee rode away and met an old North Carolina soldier on a dusty road.
Hailing the soldier, Lee asked where he was going.
"I've been on leave," said the soldier," and I'm going back now to join
General Bobby Lee."
"You needn't waste your time," said Lee. "Throw your rifle away and go home.
Lee's surrendered."
"Lee surrendered?" asked the soldier.
"That's what I said."
"It must have been that damned Fitzhugh Lee, then," said the soldier
contemptuously. "Bob Lee would never surrender." And he walked on.

「 李 投 降 了 ？ 」
「 我 不 是 告 訴 了 你 嗎 。 」
那 士 兵 很 不 屑 的 說 ： 「 投 降 的 一 定 是 那 個 混 蛋 菲 茨 休 ． 李 。
羅 勃 特 ． 李 絕 對 不 會 投 降 。 」 他 繼 續 前 行 。

許多時候，對於人與人之間的因緣際會，你往往只能有心，但是無情。
有心，是記得，並給予祝福；無情，是個人時間有限，因此無以為繼。
如果已確定無以為繼，卻還是念念不忘，那就是個人的多情；
但這樣的多情無益於對方也無益於己。
與其濫情，不如無情。與其多情，不如保持心的乾淨。
