說 法 是 a kind of new drugs ； 「 兩 種 新 藥 」 正 式 說 法 是 two kinds
of new drug ， 隨 便 一 點 說 two kinds of new drugs 也 可 以 。 這 規 則 也
適 用 於 sort 、 type 二 子 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） He is the kind / sort of man
/ men you can depend on （ 他 是 可 以 信 賴 的 那 種 男 人 ） 。 （ 2 ）
There are all kinds / types of coin / coins （ 有 各 式 各 樣 的 錢 幣 ） 。
口 頭 上 ， 英 文 常 有 these / those kind of books 之 類 說 法 ， 意 思 等 於
this / that kind of book （ 這 種 書 籍 ） 等 。 莎 士 比 亞 也 寫 過 These
kind of knaves I know （ 我 認 識 這 一 類 壞 蛋 ） 一 語 。 不 過 ， 這 說 法
一 般 視 為 不 正 確 ， 書 面 上 不 宜 使 用 ， 例 如 Those kind / sort of
magazines are not popular 最 好 改 為 That kind / sort of magazine is not
popular （ 那 種 雜 誌 不 受 歡 迎 ） 。
上 司 寫 信 常 以 I would like to request for ... （ 謹 請 ） 為 言 ， 動 詞
request 之 後 可 以 用 for 嗎 ?
Request 是 及 物 動 詞 （ transitive verb ） ， 其 後 應 接 受 詞 （ object ）
， that 子 句 （ clause ） 或 「 受 詞 ＋ to ＋ 動 詞 」 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ）
I would like to request your cooperation （ 謹 請 合 作 ） 。 （ 2 ） He
requested that a meeting （ should ） be held （ 他 要 求 舉 行 會 議 ） 。 （
3 ） He requested me to close the window （ 他 請 我 把 窗 關 上 ） 。 名 詞
request 之 後 才 用 for ， 例 如 ： Their request for more food was turned
down （ 他 們 要 求 多 點 食 物 ， 被 拒 絕 了 ） 。
