Dear all NCU Swimming Team members,
101 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games is such a memorable event to me.
Joining this fierce competition widened my horizon.
Looking back on 5/1, we went shopping at RT-MART, buying what we, as
competitors, need, such as chocolate, energy drinks, tissue, etc.
5/3, we took over 3 hrs to Kaohsiung. After setting down at Kindness Hotel,
we went swimming at Kaohsiung International Swimming Pool. At night, we went
to Liouhe Night-market, a place where I looked forward going to before the
trip.
5/4, the first day of the Game, we gathered at 5:50am. It was quite an early
time to most people, yet the whole swimming team were already well prepared
for the competition. Having no competition that day, I was responsible for
marking the record. At about 5pm, we attended the opening ceremony at Y-Shou
University. I only knew the whole process will be broadcast live when I
received a SMS from my room-mate saying that we were on the TV entering the
school playground. I then realized I was joining such a huge activity. I
couldn't imagine the president of TW was there too, wishing us good luck.
5/5, the most exciting day to me, finally arrived. I participated in 100BR,
an event which I didn't try before. Thanks A宏 for reminding me to the roll
call. The result was a satisfying one for I broke my own record.
Time flies, 5/6 was already the half of the Game. One of the most gratifying
moment was when Amber, my lovely classmate, got the 2nd-runner-up for the
50BA. I'm really proud of you, Amber! At night, we shared our past. I know we
never gain if we don't give. I wonder how much effort you've paid in the
swimming field.
5/7 was a day when I joined the 50BR. Again, I broke my record. What's more
pleasing was another teammate, 小C, broke the school record for the 800FR.
Amber won another medal again! That day, 陳勇 joined us and we had dinner at
a Japanese restaurant.
5/8, the last day came. I had a chance to join the 4x100RF Relay. Glad to be
your partner, Amber, 子晴 and 小C. I treasured this opportunity so much.
Perhaps you all agree paddling at the outdoor swimming pool at around 11am
was the most exciting and joyful moment. The photos and videos are surely
worth memorizing!
I would like to thank our honorable coach, 梁教練. You accompanied for not
only the past few days, but also the past few months when I first entered NCU
on Sept 2011. Thank you for having great confidence in me and giving me such
a valuable experience in the relay! I will practise more often in the coming
years.
Thanks 小沈老師. Your encouragement motivates me. I will do my best in the
following competition.
Thanks 小牧, it's you who applied the BR events for me. My BR kill improves
a lot, much room for improvement though, haha.
Thanks海豚 for sharing your experience of doing breaststroke.
Thanks 鄭仲甫 and 呂守晉 for trying your best to help me when you knew that
I had difficulties in finishing my essay due that day.
Thanks余謙, 阿戰 and蘇柏柏 for supporting me.

王裕瀚, you gave me lots of fun!
謝禮安, I enjoyed chatting with you!
張益偉, you are really good at bargaining!
Well, if I'm a quite person in your eyes, you don't know me well. In fact, I
love chatting and playing so much. I just worried about the competition and
was a little bit tired. You'll realize how outgoing and cheerful I am when we
have trips in the future. By the way, sad that I didn't join you all for the
last trip in the winter vacation. I'm now looking forward to joining all the
activities from the swimming team.
Well done, everyone! I had an unforgettable memory with you! Our team spirit
never ends.
