Engaged! 24-12-2003
Lleyton had a surprise for me! He took me out for a dinner and produced all of
a sudden a ring and earrings! I was so happy I didn't know how to react.
Being engaged means a lot in Australia, so Lleyton's family is really
delighted. Well, my parents as well of course. There's nothing fixed yet,
we'll see how things evolve. But let there be no doubt: I am full of joy
because of this early Christmas present.
Besides that joy hardly any news. The heat has been replaced by storm and
rain, which is why we are now training indoors. I heard that Serena has
cancelled her Hopman Cup? Pity, for I liked to have seen her again. We were
hardly able to talk to each other during the Masters, so this would have been
a perfect occasion.
