(b) Two grams of LiF dissolved in 100g of water produces a freezing point depression of 2.9K. What molecular mass do these data give for LiF, and why isn't the answer 26 g/mol? The freezing point depression constant for water is 1.86 K kg/mol. Problem 2 (20%) The vapor pressure of pure ethylene dibromide is 172 Torr and that of pure propylene dibromide is 128 Torr both at 358 K. If these two components follow Raoult's law, estimate the total vapor pressure and the vapor composition in equilibrium with a solution that is 0.60 mol fraction propylene dibromide at 358 K.
