2. What elements(in terms of theatrical space and performance convent
-ions)in Antigone would you emphasize today if you were directing
the play?
3. Imagine that you are living during the Elizabethan period and that
you have just returned home from a visit to the Globe Theatre wher
-e you have seen a play written by Shakespeare.Write an account of
what interested you for your own personal diary or journal.
4. Discuss some of the difficulties you would meet and show how you w
-ould solve them,if you were staging a pre-twentieth-century play
you know well using either:
(i) a conventional theatre with a proscenium arch,or
(ii) an alternative method of staging. e.g. in a trust theatre,
or in a 'theatre-in-the-round' setting
You must use one or two scenes from the play you chose to stage to
