a.What is the short-run equilibrium price and quantity in the widget
market?
b.For the firm Perfect Widgets, SRMC=AVC=22 when q=2. What output will
Perfect Widgets produce in the short-run?
2.(20%)Suppose the marginal product of labor is greaterthan the average
product of labor at firm's current level of employment. Is the average
product of labor increasing, decreasing, or constant? Explain your
answer using a graph. Is this firm's marginal cost greater than,less
than or equal to its average variable cost? Explain your reasoning.
3.(30%)A competitive industry consisting of 160 firms prodces good X. When
firms have chosen the optimal size for the long run, their short-run
costs are identical and given by:
SRTC=2q^2+8
Market demand is:

Briefly justify your answers to the following and show them on graphs:
a. What is the short-run equilbrium price in this market?
b. What is the long-run equilbrium price in this market?
c. How many firms must enter or exit this industry for the industry

4.(20%)Suppose a firm's production function exhibits constant returns to
scale for all levels of output. If this firm is not currently operating
at the minimum point on its SRAC curve, could it be currently operating
on its LRAC curve? Explain your reasoning using a graph.
