(2) Suppose the banking system currently has $700 billion in reserves,
the required reserve ratio is 10%, and the excess reserves are $6
billion. What is the level of loans? (4%)
(3) The manager of the bank where you work tells you that the banks
has $900 million in deposits and $760 million dollars in loans.
The Fed then raises the required reserve ratio from 10% to 15%.
Assuming everything else stays the same, how much is the bank
holding in excess reserves after the increase in the reserves
