chromaticism and also uses the diminished-seventh chord, creating an ambiguous
atmosphere that makes it difficult fo decide which key it is really in.

Work and movement/section: Le nozze di Figaro, K.492, If you feel like dancing
Question: How does this music express a challenge to conventional social
thinking of the late 18th century?
Possible answer:
The minuet form (triple meter) is a kind of music reserved for the aristocracy,
thus should not be sung by a servant like Figaro. He, in this sense, challenges
the social classes, which conveys one of the most important messages of the
opera -- all classes should be equal.
