2. Figure 23-17(不會畫, 見Halliday Fundamental Physics, SampleProblem 23-6)
shows portions of two large, parallel. nonconducting sheets. each with a
fixed uniform charge on one side. The magnitudes of the surface charge
densities are σ(+) = 6.8μC/m^2 for the positively charged sheet and
σ(-) = 4.3μC/m^2 for the negatively charged sheet.
Find the electric field E (a) to the left of the sheets. (b) between the
sheets. and(c) to the right of the sheets. (25%)
3. A slab of copper of thickness b = 2.00mm is thrust into a parallel-plate
capacitor of plate area A = 2.40cm^2 and plate separation d = 5.00mm, as
shown in Fig. 25-65(見Halliday, Fundamental Physics, p681. 82題); the slab
is exactly halfway between the plates. (a) What is the capacitance after
the slab is introduced? (b) If a charge q = 3.40μC is maintained on the
plates, what is the ratio the stroed energy before to that after the slab
is inserted? (c) How much work is done on the slab as it is inserted? (d)
Is the slab sucked in or must it be pushed in?
4. In Fig. 27-34.(見Halliday, Fundamental Physics, p727. 19題) R_1=100Ω.
R_2 = 50Ω. and the ideal batteries have emfs ε_1 = 6.0V, ε_2 = 5.0V, and
ε_3 = 4.0V. Find (a) the current in resistor 1, (b) the current in resistor
2, and (c) the potential difference between points a and b.
