automatically adjusted to maintain a constant current i through S. (a) Find
the current through the inductor as a funct of time. (b) At what time is the
current through the resistor equal to the current through the inductor?

8. In Figure 3a. Switch has been closed on A long enough to establish a steady
current in the inductor of inductance L1 and the resistorof resistance R1.
Similarly, in Figure 3b, switch S has been closed on A long enough to
establish a steady current in inductance L2 and resistor of the resistance
R2. The I1/I2 is the magnetic flux through a turn in unductor 2 to that
in inductor 1. At time t=0, the two switches are closed on B. At what time
t is the flux through a turn in the two inductors equal? (8%)

11.A luminous point is moving at speed Vo toward a shperical mirror with radius
of r, along the central axis of the mirror. Show that the image of this
point is moving at speed Vi=-(r/(2p-r))^2*Vo, where p is the distance of the
luminous point from the mirror at any given time. (8%)
12.Light of wavelength S is used in a Michelson interferometer. Let x be the
position of the movable mirror with x=0 when the arms have equal lengths
d2=d1. Write an expression for the intensity of the observed light as a
function of x letting Im be the maximum intensity. (10%)
