1. In the movie "Shakespeare in Love" there is a wager. On what question is it
based? How is it solved at the end of the movie?
2. Explore the problem (or significance) of "name" in
Romeo and Juliet.
3. Analyze a scene of your choice from
Hamlet.
4. Analyze a soliloquy of your choice from
Hamlet.
5. Analyze one character of your choice from
Othello.
6. How does Othello want others to relate his story after his death? And how
does Hamlet want Horatio to tell his story? Compare the two protagonists'
attitude when facing impending death.
V. Take-home essay. 15%
An essay on a topic of your choice from any of the plays we have discussed.
Minimum length:
one double-spaced A4 page in Font 12.
