III.Answer ONE of the questions below in a long paragraph of a multi-paragraph

1. The Odyssey begins with the "awakening" of a hero's son, Telemachus. Have
you noticed an awakening on the part of Odysseus too? If so, describe the
hero's growth in the course of his adventures. You could begin at Troy, on
the coast of the Kikones, in the land of the Lotus Eaters, of the Kyklopes
, and so on, all the way to his own homeland, among his kinsfolk. If you
do not see a development in Odysseus' character, explain how it remains
unchanged all through the story.
2. The female characters in the Odyssey are legion, from Athena to Kirke,
Kalypsp. the Seirenes, Kharybdis, Skylla, to Helen, Nausikaa, and Penelope
, not to mention minor characters like Antikleia (Odysseus' mother),
Eurykleia (Odysseus' nurse), the faithful and unfaithful maidservants of
Odysseus' household, and the nymph Ino, etc. Agamemnon's wife Clytemnestra
is mentioned a few times too. The female sex could advise, support, tempt,
threaten, or do any number of things to Odysseus. Is it possible to
determine whether the storyteller's overall attitude to the female sex is
possitive or negative? Explain.
