1. Determine the force in members CD, CF, and CG and state if the members are
in the tension or compression.

2. Determine the horizontal and vertical components of force at each pin. The
suspended cylinder has a weight of 800N (≒ 80 kg).

3. The beam consists of two segments pin connected at B. Draw the shear and
moment diagrams for the beam.

4. The frame is subjected to the load of 7 kN. Determine the required diameter
of the pins at A and B if the allowable shear stress for the material is

subjected to single shear.
