The pressure is then increased to 40 bar by heat addition. Assuming that the specific heat ratio of the working fluid is 1.4 , calculate the compression ratio and the thermal efficiency of the cycle. (10%) (b)If the compression process of a Diesel cycle increases the pressure of the working fliud from 1 bar to 40 bar, and the volume at the end of the heat addition process is 5 times of that at the beginning of the process, calculate the compression ratio and the thermal efficiency of the cycle.
