: working out at gym (G) and eating Subway sandwiches (S).

while the price of a sandwich is PS = 5.
‧ If Subway raises the sandwich price to $10, how much is John’s loss, as
defined by compensating variations (CV) ?

An antique shop has a fixed supply of 200 paintings:

Meanwhile, demand for these paintings is:

What would then be the tax-inclusive price P' consumers pay for each
painting?

Let her income be I = 300, and original prices of the goods be:

Now government needs to collect tax revenue $100 with quantity tax t on x
only.
