1.Evaulate the successes and failures of the League of Nations.

2.Explain the China representation case in the U.N.

3.Discuss reasons for the growing importance of international NGOs.

Part 2. Essay Question (50%)

Many argue that the UN Security Council simply reflects the strategic interests

and political motives of the permanent members who hold veto power. Do you

agree? What arguements can be made for or against the status quo? Please

outline and evalure some proposals for Security Council reform. Put forward

your own proposal for reform.
