【Position】

【Job content】
1. Conduct research on endogenous network formation of interbank networks.

Recent studies have shown that the extent of financial crises and the optimal
resolution procedures depend on the structure of the interbank network. In
some networks, a regulator can successfully coordinate a bail-in, whereas he
is forced to a bailout in other networks. The goal of the present study is to
analyze what interbank networks financial institutions form ex ante, when
they anticipate the impact of the formed network structure on resolution
policies.
A research project on a more game theoretical project is also possible if the
candidate brings the appropriate theoretical background.
【Qualifications】
1. Graduated from an Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics department.
2. A keen interest in game theory and/or systemic risk analysis. Strong
mathematics skills, comfortable with proofs.
3. English proficiency.
【Working place】
Department of Economics in College of Social Sciences, NTU. (No. 1, Section
4, Roosevelt Rd, Da'an District, Taipei City. Near the Technology Building
MRT Station)
You will have your own office space, shared with other research assistants.
【Working duration】
From the actual date of employment until 31st July 2020 (negotiable). Work
hours 8:00-17:00 or 9:00-18:00 from Monday to Friday with lunch break for an
hour. Contract can be renewed in the next year depending on the work
performance.
【Days off per month】
Weekends and national holidays.
【Benefits】
Year-end bonuses will be 1.5 months’ salary. (It will be calculated
according to the proportion of the months of employment.)
A full-time RA will have a vacation for 3 days if they work for six months
and will have a vacation for 7 days if they work for twelve months.

First year with Master’s degree: 37,132 TWD/ month
