試題 :
1. Name each of the following compounds in rither english common name or IUPAC
systematic name
(a) N2O (b) Al2O3 (c) KI (d) SF6 (e) NaHCO3
2. Write formulas for the followings compounds.
(a) silicon tetrachloride (b) nitrous acid (c) zinc sulfide
(d) gallium arsenide (e) dinitrogen pentoxide
3. An electric furnace products phosphorus by the following reaction:
Ca3(PO4)2 (s) + 5C (s) + 3SiO2 (s) → 3CaSiO3 (s) + 5CO (g) + 2P (l)
an initial reaction mixture contains 1500 kg calcium phosphate, 250 kg carbon
and 1.0*10^3 kg SiO2
(a) What is the limit reagent?
(b) What is the theoretical yield of phosphorus?
(c) After reaction the slag(solid residue) was analyzed. It contained 3.8% C
, 5.8% P , and 26.6% Ca by mass. What was the actual yield of phosphorus
in kilogram? what was the percent tield?
4. A 1.000 g sample of XI2 is dissolved in water, and excess silver nitrate
is added to precipitate all of the iodide as AgI. The mass of the dry AgI
is found to be 1.375 g.
Calculate the atomic weight(mass) of X .
5. Explain the basic working principle for the gravimetricanalysis and
volumetric analysis methods in analytical chemistry.
(Hint: it is easier to explain them by some working example)
6. Balance the following chemical reaction by the half-reaction method:
MnO4- (aq) + Fe2+ (aq) ───→ Mn2+ (aq) + Fe3+ (aq)
7. a sample is mixture od AgNO3, CuCl2, and FeCl3. When a 1.000 gram sample
of the minture is dissolved in water and reaction with excess silver
nitrate, 1.781 g of precipitate forms. When a separate 1.000 g sample of
the mixture is treated with a reducing agent, all the metal ion in the
mixture are reduced to pure metals. the total mass of pure metals produced
is 0.450 g. Calculatethe mass perent of AgNO3, CuCl2, and FeCl3 in the
original mixture.
8. Calculate the collision frequency for an oxygen molecule in a sample of
pure oxygengas at 27。C and 1.0 atm. Assume that the diameter of an O2
molecule is 0.3 nm.
9. We state that the ideal gas law tends to hold best at low pressure and high
temperatures. Show how the nan der Waals equation simplifies to the ideal
gas law under these conditions.
(Hint:expand the van der Waals equation into the form PV/nRT )
10.
(a) Consider separate 1.0 L samples of He and UF6 gases, both at 1.00atm and
containing the same number of moles. What ratio of temperature for the two
samples would produce the same collisoin frequency with the vessel walls?
(b)Calculate the effusion rate (molecules/sec) of a vessel containing the
oxygen gas at a pressure of 1.00atm and 27。C with a pinhole of 0.0001-cm^2
cross section in the vessel wall.
