各位舍胞好：
關於交換生擅用廣播系統的事...
他們在星期三我們一上班就進來辦公室說明此事件，學生用意不在打擾，也不知道
麥克風打開來原來整個宿舍都聽的到。下文有易安跟林瑞燕的道歉信，經過他們同
意，他們願意將此封信內容讓各位舍胞了解。
一開始我聽到消息的時候，比任何人還生氣，因為他們是我熟悉的學生，從他們
進住到現在，輔導員和許多國青的志工一直給他們幫助、關心支持他們。這樣行
為影響他人，我跟謝先生比任何人都生氣與遺憾。
然而，經過他們說明，我想..沒有人會故意這麼壞去擾亂秩序，對於他們而言，
留學生的夢正開始啟航，可是卻因為這樣玩笑讓大家感到不滿或是讓他們自
己現在也後悔莫及，很不值得。
昨天晚上生治會在2樓開會，他們兩位也爭取想要跟大家說明、道歉的機會。
其他交換生也出席、發言關心此事。
在說明後，他們也覺得心理較舒服、罪惡感降低一些些，他們坦然面對學校會
給的懲處，即使他們自己真的很難過。
人不可能不犯錯，特別在自己不熟悉的環境，一定對事物感到新鮮、也會有挫折
的感覺、甚至更會因為文化差異造成一些誤會或不諒解。
但..錯就是錯，我跟謝先生也須為這件事付很大的責任、臺大宿舍整體亦須
對這些外國學生作更多的生活教育，我想這是無庸置疑的。
在此，再次表達抱歉。
以下為交換生易安及林瑞燕寫給我們的道歉信。
Dear Diane and Simon,
It has come to our attention that our antics last night, in particular
the unauthorized use of the P.A., have caused a major disturbance among the
students at Guo Qing. We are to blame for this disturbance, and we are
genuinely sorry that it had such an adverse affect on residents throughout
the entire building. We had no idea that this stupid prank would upset
everyone to this degree. It was a very inconsiderate and immature thing to
do, however it was done without malice and it was never our intention to
actually wake anyone up.
When we heard that our actions had caused such a furor among other students
in the building, we realized that we had completely overlooked the
sensitivities of people from other cultures, which is particularly
embarrassing because we are guests of NTU and of this country. Even though in
our home countries it is not such a big deal to pull this of prank it is
clear that our actions should display a much greater awareness of what
constitutes acceptable behavior in Taiwan. Naturally, it goes without saying
that this will never happen again.
We accept full responsibility for the disturbance, and if there is any
way in which we can make it up to you we would be happy to do so.
