The 11pm show, there were only less than 15 people in the
theater, just us and the empty seats.
No, there was not much to the MuLan story. Everyone there except the
10-year-old kid must have had learned it, memorized it, and perhaps
even been tested on it. Yes, almost all of us knew the story by heart.
But I have to admit the movie was entertaining and relaxing.
Besides the sound from the loud speakers, we could also
hear the never-ending laughters and the naive, hilarious comments
made by the little kid throughout the one and a half hours of the film.
It's fun, as long as you are not concerned with the truthfulness
of the story, comparing it to the text we learned in junior
high. Just sit there, pretend you know nothing about MuLan, and
enjoy.
