For all people who have come to Toastmasters,
many came to visit once and then left;
Among all those who attended meetings more than twice,
only few people decided to stay long enough to
become a devoted member.
And if you happen to be a junior in Toastmasters,
Congratulations! You are the very special one because we've
choosen the same love for this club and thus become good friends!
However, during weeekly meeting, we only had time for speeches and
jokes. Even in daytrip outings, there was too little time for us to
talk to each others more deeply.
But as I said, I think it's a God's gift that we all have choosen
our common interest during this once-in-a-life-time college life,
so why not spend some time together to know each other more,
to share our passion for NTU Toastmasters, our dreams about future, and
maybe strengthen our friendship before we leave for another stop?
That's why I start to think about a graduation trip for our junior members,
and perhaps not only these "old guys" but also any sophomores and freshmen
are welcome to join, if you're willing to come at the time we juniors've
picked up.
Finally, Erin, Clare, Paul, Virginia, David, Louis, Pollin and anyone I
don't remember to mention here but you are also a junior, how do you feel
about this idea? Please say a few word in you opinion.
P.S.this is just an unusual innovation by a rational old member who suddenly
became sentimenal recently !
perfectly "rational"
