Well, I am not serious about my message at all. Actually I spend more
time listening to music for strings than winds. And I like Brahms, too.
I agree it's better not just listen to band music or wind music. Music
is music. The instrument is just an instrument.
See, I have spend a lot of time on this place, more than I expected.
However, most of time when I try to say something, the response ......
just embarrassing silence.
Then I get curious about what people in NTU windband are interested now.
I am trying to understand what are the clarinet players doing and thinking
because I am a clarinet player.
It is a pity that I never get a chance to have some conversation with
any clarinetist in NTU. That's it.
Trombone is fine. Playing tenor or bass in an ensemble is a lot of fun.
Last but not the least: why people don't practice their instruments?
Is it boring to practice? Or college study is really intense?
Or people likes to play in a band than alone? Or they just like to play
in concerts only? Everybody has the right to choose to practice or not.
I am asking simply for my curiosity. Pretty often I wonder why I am
still playing clarinet and try to learn a little bit about music.
