This thread has gone too far for me to keep up with.
I will not have more words other than the following
questions and comments. Please explain a little
more further the following because I either
disagree or do not understand them. This will
help other people to underatand your points, too.
Please remember, no offense. I don't want to have a war
because I want to quit on this subject and go back to work.

Which conductors? Which orchestra? When? Where did you sit
during the concerts? Do you know how slow sound propagates from
the stage to the seats?
How, for example, to conduct "firebird" in this way?
How, for example, to conduct a slow classical mov. like the 3rd
mov. of Beethoven symphony #9 in this way?
I don't really understand this part. No conductor has ever
told me where is his downbeat. The downbeats do not always
"look the same" from one conductor, but I just know (for 99.99%
of time) where it is.
: btw...
: i.e.
Bad engineers! (perhaps)
We see the motion of the conductor, also the bowing of the strings,
or the body movement of the musicians. We should be able to tell
if the engineers did some strange thing (most of the time).
