That's nonsense.
You see the motion of the conductor (I mean live performance)
BEFORE you hear the sound of the orchestra.
Your visual input is much faster than the speed of the sound.
It's NOT that conductors do it ON PURPOSE.

That's because it's NOT LIVE CONCERT and you are not sitting in
the audience area.
If the motion of the conductor and the sound of the orchestra
don't match, engineers would be the one that have problems.
