I have that CD (clarinet evergreen).
The leader of that quintet is a leading figure in East Europe, also a
"part time" clarinet composer. This quintet plays with incredibly high
quality. I am not used to say which recording is good or bad. So, that's
all I would like to write about that quintet.
Some names (pianists) pop up while talking about musicians from
East Europe, like Lupu and Schiff. Mm..... their performances are
inspiring. Ideas are what make a musician different. Unfortunately,
technique is what most of us care.
