Hahn, Reynaldo (1874-1947; the birth-date 1875 is mistaken), French composer,
Venezuelan-born, who went to Paris in infancy, entered Conservatory there at
11 (pupil of Massenet and others), and became conductor. Wrote operas (one on
"The Merchant of Venice"), operettas, music for plays (including Sacha
Guitry's "Mozart"), chamber music, songs (including "Si mes vers avaient des
ailes").
