Of course I did not try to illustrate anything in "story(I)" because I think a story alone is a good starting point. In "story(II)" I did try to illustrate a point of view. Which is to consider the role of performer and composer. I did not mean to force an answer. No one has to know what Beethoven's symphony #1 is about while reading "story(II)". I just want to say some greatest conductors did not follow what Beethoven wrote. I just want to expose this fact. Please let me know if you feel very difficult to follow whatever I wrote. I want to make my words easy to understand. I write English, that is bad enough, and I don't want to make my words difficult because I would like to introduce simple ideas. Of course, there may be no simple answer to those ideas. 2nd mov. of a symphony is not sonata form. There may be some weird exceptions, of course I haven't seen one. The 2nd mov. of Beethoven symphony #1 is either ternary form or binary form. I don't remember because it's been a long time since I listen to that piece last time. (and.... what is the difference between binary and ternary forms? I am not sure either. I forget things easily, or, I never understand that very well.)
