: : Mozart clarinet concerto is a special gift for "besset"
: basset.
:PP
I did not wear my glasses while typing that message. That's why, I guess.
: : By the way, if someone have a copy of that Wlach-Karajan recording issued
: : by EMI, please write something...... Wlach is a famous Mozart interpretor.
Really?? Alfred Prinz is a student of Wlach. I don't know who
is Karl Leister's teacher. Remember Wlach played in Vienna (correct me
if I am wrong).
On the other hand, being a performer, I guess one is seeking to find
something other than "teather's idea". If Alfred Prinz is nothing but
a student of Wlach, he should not be admired as "the" Alfred Prinz.
: : Antony Pay, Collin Lawson are period performance experts, they really
: : try to play it 18th-century in all ways. Notice their choice of
: : articulation and improvised ornamentations.
: Lawson的聲音比較像Alan Hacker(也許他們是在同一家訂作的古豎笛 :P )
I thought Alan Hacker played on modern basset clarinet when he made his
first Mozart clarinet concerto recording in the 70's. He seems to own
some period instruments, though.
Lawson played on a period instrument. Tony Pay has not-so-authentic
basset clarinets. His basset clarinets look more like longer ordinary
clarinets (so is Charles Neidich's), Lawson has a more basset-like (shape)
clarinet. You can check on "Mozart clarinet concerto" by Lawson, that
small book you "copied" from mine.
