※ 引述《KevinLan (Posaunenblaeser)》之銘言:
: ※ 引述《Suskind (boilermaker)》之銘言:
: : Classical music is serious music today. But long long long time ago,
: : it was just some kind of "background" music and was private music.
: : The culture is changing, but, for me, the most important thing is
: : to let more and more people enjoy it.
: 這裡比較有些有趣的地方...
: 因為一來我們今天所意識到的古典音樂的歷史並不那麼長...
: "long long long time ago" 指的可能也只是兩三個世紀左右的時間...
Well, the history of "classical music" is long. It is the
history of public concerts, which is less than 300 years. We
are talking about concerts, OK?
One feels disturbed when other people behave not according to
the general culture in concerts. Fine. That's his feeling. We
don't change one's feeling very often because he is already an
adult (difficult job!).
I go to concerts and leave with music in my brain. Some leaves
with how many mistakes the musicians made in the concert in his
brain, some leaves with how bad the audience was in the concert in his
brain. Fine. I like music. I hope people like music because it is
a precious thing in our lives. Some are interested in how the audience
do in the concerts very much. Fine. That's a part of human culture.
No matter you like what other people do in concerts or not, you
still want to go to concerts. IF..... if the audience is not enough
to support the public concerts when those people who you don't like
don't go, then you won't get chances to go to concerts because no
one is interested in donating money to concerts lack of public
interest. (remember you can go to a concert with NT$500 because there
are rich guys, or the gevernment, who pay for you. You will have to
pay a lot more to see a pop music star's live concert.)
There are parts of concerts that we may not like. But we like
music and concerts. This is never a perfect world.
You like to play your horn, but how do you like the music you
make? You are still playing your horn, right?
I really respect who take concerts very seriously. And they
have the right to feel disturbed by all noise from the audience
during concerts. The bottom line is: let's listen
to the music and cherish the fact that it is still performed because
there is enough support from those who are good or pooly educated
musically and would like to support the existence of this kind of art.
