I will not be too restrictive here. But Fiedman, I think is a Jew,
should play Klezmer music, not Gypsy. Hebrew is surely different from
Gypsy, their music may sound similar for we Taiwaness.
I did not watch that movie and may mistaken your point, though.

Sorry, I will keep going from here,
About "European Jazz", Klezmer music may make us feel like "Jazz", I guess.
If Fiedman was actually playing Klezmer music in the movie, then
I am pretty sure there is no "Jazz" in it.
If EMI translate Klezmer music as "Gypsy" music, then either my brain
is not working well recently (physics is poisonous!) or they made a mistake.
