Mets decline options on LHP Felix Heredia and LHP Kazuhisa Ishii

The New York Mets announced today that the team did not exercise the options
on lefthanded pitchers Felix Heredia and Kazuhisa Ishii.
Heredia, 30, went 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three games with the Mets before
undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot from his left shoulder on June 2nd.
Ishii, 32, was 3-9 with a 5.14 ERA in 19 games, 16 starts for New York. In
91.0 innings, he allowed 87 hits, 59 runs, 52 earned, with 49 walks and 53
strikeouts.
