標題[洋基] Posada: “Just need to get the swelling down”

After being hit by a pitch and running the bases in the second inning, Jorge
Posada got into the dugout and told Joe Girardi that he was done. His right
knee was numb and he knew he couldn’t finish the game behind the plate.
“He’s probably not a player for us tomorrow,” Girardi said.
Posada said he doesn’t expect any sort of long-term impact, but Girardi said
he would talk to general manager Brian Cashman tomorrow to determine whether
the team needs to call-up an extra catcher from the minor leagues. There is
no other catcher on the 40-man.
“The knee is fine,” Posada said. “Just need to get the swelling down.”
The pitcher who hit Posada — Jeremy Guhrie — is the same guy who hit Mark
Teixeira this spring, leading to a rare moment of public frustration from
Girardi.
“He hits a lot of people, and it’s frustrating for us,” Girardi said. “I
don’t think he’s hitting our guys on purpose. I just get frustrated.”
