homer of the season … extends his hitting streak to 13 games … he’s 16 for
his last 37 (.432) with eight doubles & that one jack
Brandon Laird, 3B & Edwar Gonzalez, RF: both 0 for 4 – Edwar K’ed twice
Reid Gorecki, LF: 1 for 3, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB – threw a runner out at
third
Marcos Vechionacci, DH & Kevin Smith, 1B: both 1 for 4 – Vech K’ed … Smith
doubled & K’ed twice
Justin Snyder, SS: 0 for 2, 1 R, 2 BB, 1 E (fielding)
Jeremy Bleich: 2.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 6 BB, 2 K, 1 WP, 4-1 GB/FB – that’s
just not going to get it done … now has a 16-19 K/BB ratio in 25.1 IP … he
came out of school with pretty good control, but that seems to have deserted
him … maybe his little spike in velocity geeked him out last year, and now he
’s trying to throw as hard as he can instead of hitting his spots …
whatever it is, it needs fixin’

probably on a pitch count, hence the short outing … first start back from
that cut on his pitching hand that kept him out for a little over two weeks

Trenton Lare: 1 IP, zeroes, 1 K, 1-1 GB/FB
