這是 9/24 Pedro Martinez 連續第二次輸給 Yankees，當時也差不多就
輸掉了爭取 AL East 的希望（那場球賽之後變成 5.5 場勝差）。他在賽
後發表了很多非常不像 Pedro Martinez 會說的話。

這個連結是 Newark Star Ledger 的，其他各大媒體都有相關的報導，在
Boston Globe 的 Red Sox 網頁右邊有 NESN Video，目前最下面一個就是
Pedro: 'Call the Yankees my daddy'，應該很快會被擠出首頁了，畢竟
已經是一個多星期以前的新聞。

摘錄 Pedro Martinez 說的一些話：
"I can't find a way to beat them at this point," a somber
Martinez said long after the Yankees' 6-4 victory was in
the books. "They beat me. They didn't beat my team. They
beat me. They're that good right now. They're that hot right
now -- at least against me.

"I'd wish they'd disappear and never come back," he continued,
spicing his sentence with a well-chosen expletive. "What can
I say?

"All I can do is tip my cap and call the Yankees my daddy."

可以想見的是下一次 Pedro Martinez 穿著 Red Sox 制服出現在 Yankee
Stadium 的時候一定會有 "Pedro, your dad's here." 或是這一類的標語
出現。至於他還有沒有機會穿著 Red Sox 的制服出現在 Yankee Stadium，
我就沒有把握了。看起來今年季後賽的機會要比明年好一點。
