Ha ha... I mean that the 2-run shot just looked a copy of that game,
which I really stunned by the shot by Trot.
Of course it won't happen tomorrow with different line-ups. But maybe
you can take a chance to ask some other "local" NYY fans and I think
some of them recalled that game as long as Trot made it this evening.
By the way I don't wanna see Rocket for only 1 inning as any
correspondence with that game. Yup neither of the starting pitchers
got the winning record and the Yankees grabbed the game. Do you really
think, however, it's a good sign for Yankees if the Rocket is pulled
out after the 1st inning and related to the game on June 14, 2000?

I don't think so. That homer didn't really matter. It provided
two insurance runs for sure, but it's not the game winning
homerun. Besides, it's given up by the shabby bullpen, not
the starting pitcher who dominated most of the game.
People are basically busy cursing the bullpen here.

They have the fourth starter in Contreras, he is good regardless
what happened today.

Humm.... As Sox fans' viewpoint, it's as huge as that one with the
same reason you mentioned--bullpen. Actually the Sox got even worse
bullpen into the series. BUT by far it seems that all statistics
sucked. As a matter of fact, it even jinxes the real games. When
it showed how great this Sox offending machine is (should be "was",)
the team choked. It said the game was a lot favored to the Yankees
because Wakefield had been poor for playoff for many years and he
threw the gems. I'm really glad that Fox always mentioned, even
emphasized how poor the Sox bullpen was during the regular season.
Weird.
Red Sox's bullpen is really crappy. One run game really favors to
NYY in any case, who at least has a closer. =)
