Yankees signed infielder Miguel Cairo

Yankees added another bat to their bench on Friday, signing infielder Miguel
Cairo to a one-year contract.

Cairo played with the St. Louis Cardinals last season, batting .245 with five
home runs and 32 RBIs in 92 games. Cairo started 54 games, including 33 at
second base, 15 in the outfield, four at shortstop and two at third base.
