The Dodgers drafted Crosby in the first round back in 1998.
The former Rice University star was supposed to be a regular
outfielder by now, but his pro performance has been marred
by nagging injuries and inconsistent hitting.
He is having his most successful pro season this year,
hitting .361 with 12 homers for Triple-A Las Vegas. He runs
well and is a good defensive outfielder, but it remains to
be seen how well he'll drive the ball at the major league
level.
Crosby is 26, and profiles best as a reserve outfielder.
