splitter來了。
我是真的不知道他會投splitter，還是Roger Clemens親自指導的。

"They were getting hits on everything I had: fastballs, the
changeup, the curve, cutter," Mussina said. "They were getting
good swings at a lot of things. So I just started throwing
something they hadn't seen for a while."
Mussina was referring to the splitter, a pitch he did not use
in games until he came to the Yankees in 2001.
He refined the splitter through conversations with Roger Clemens,
a master of it, but it remains his emergency pitch. Mussina said
he had used it in no more than 5 of his previous 21 starts this
year.
Without the splitter yesterday, Mussina knew he would not last
long. With it, he lasted into the eighth, allowing no more runs
after Rodriguez's homer.
"When you get desperate, you start coming up with stuff you don't
use too often," Mussina said. "That's how it went today. After the
first three innings, I thought it was pretty important for me to
take a shot at it."

今天會有這種狀況我認為跟配球有一定的關係，前兩局Moose的速球用的少了一點
(因為今天球速投不太出來的關係)，對Palmeiro時四個球裡面丟了三個k-curve，
當然會有危險，不過真的有幾球說實在投的不錯的球Texas的打者硬是打的更好，
前兩局中間曲球被打HR，外角直球也被敲中間平飛安打，一球外角投得不錯的變速
球也被敲成二壘打，第三局更糟糕，兩個直球被扎扎實實的打中，然後一個位置還
不錯的外角cutter更是被A-Rod一推就上了看台，然後下一棒再遇到Palmeiro的時
候splitter就出籠了，不過一次就給Palmeiro看了三個splitter也是稍微多了點，
changeup應該還是可以丟一丟，不過最後還是靠著splitter三振了Palmeiro。
