Interesting articles - http://www.yesnetwork.com/yankees/pinstripedblog.asp Jason Anderson: Stay. He's worth another try. He won't get it here. Colter Bean: Go, for his own sake. Kevin Brown: A free agent. Gone. And thank goodness. Shawn Chacon: Go — in trade. His value will never be higher and his strikeout/walk numbers make it hard to believe he'll ever be this good again. It's easy to rationalize his performance — extreme flyball pitcher escapes Colorado. Life isn't that simple. Jorge De Paula: Just another recovering pitcher. Stay or go, it makes no difference. Alan Embree: A free agent. Can't leave fast enough. Wayne Franklin: Go. The whole lefty department needs to be purged and started over. There's nothing to recommend him. Tom Gordon: A free agent, he should probably go. He's been great for the most part, but he'll be 38 next year and his strikeout rate has dropped. The Yankees would be paying for his fadeout. Also, unlike A-Rod he really can't play in the postseason. Sean Henn: Stay, of course. His story has yet to be written. Randy Johnson: Stay. There's still life in the old boy. Al Leiter: A free agent, and talking retirement. He might be able to make it as a lefty specialist. The possibility isn't worth much more than an NRI to spring training. Ramiro Mendoza: A free agent. Go. It's time to stop beating this particular dead horse. Mike Mussina: Stay. He signed through next season anyway. His ace days are over but he's still a functional pitcher most of the time. Reupping him after next season would be a dubious decision, regardless of what he does. Carl Pavano: It's purely wishful thinking, but go. Scott Proctor: Go. There are a million ineffective righty relievers in the sea, and going on 29 he's not young. Mariano Rivera: Stay, of course. Felix Rodriguez: A free agent. (See Scott Proctor.) Aaron Small: Could be next year's Tanyon Sturtze, so stay. But it's in no way a certainty. The first time he gets hammered two games in a row and you hear the manager say, "He'll find his way out of it, he's done it before," shout, "No he HASN'T!" and run for cover. Tanyon Sturtze: A free agent. A heartwarming story and a good guy, but he's reverted to form. Go. Chien-Ming Wang: Stay. Should continue to be fun for some time, assuming his arm stays attached to his shoulder. Jaret Wright: See Carl Pavano. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 68.126.199.153
