Yanks' road to trophy starts today

洋基的冠軍路 今天開始
TAMPA, Fla. -- It has been six years since the Yankees celebrated a World
Series title, but the Bronx Bombers are ready to put an end to their
championship drought in 2006.
It all begins today, as 33 pitchers and eight catchers report to Legends
Field to officially kick off Spring Training.

The Yankees bring back their entire rotation from 2005, led by Randy Johnson.
The Big Unit is looking to improve upon his 17-win season of a year ago,
hoping that his second season in pinstripes will be a big one.

"Seventeen wins is good, but I expect more this year," Johnson said. "I want

Though the rotation features no new faces, the bullpen is loaded with
pinstriped newcomers, including Kyle Farnsworth, Ron Villone, Octavio Dotel
and Mike Myers. Mariano Rivera, Tanyon Sturtze and Aaron Small return to
round out the bullpen.
雖然先發投手沒有看到新面孔 但牛棚可以看到不少今年剛穿上條紋衫的球員

Position players report on Tuesday, Feb. 21, with the first full-squad
workout set to take place the following day, though several hitters will work
out over the next week at the Yankees' training complex across the street
from the ballpark.
除了投手外 其他的球員會在二月廿一日(下星期二)報到
星期三將展開 整個球場的完全春訓 但還是有幾位打者不會在球場上春訓
他們下星期將在球場對面的健身中心春訓
