Theodore Lester Beam Jr., known to all in baseball as "T.J.," is making quite
an impression as a member of the Thunder's 2006 bullpen.

Beam, a 25-year-old right-hander drafted out of the University of
Mississippi in the 10th round in 2003, is making manager Bill Masse smile

Southeastern Conference, a league often filled with sinker-slider types and

Another offspeed pitch -- Beam also throws a changeup -- would solidify his
status as a prospect. These days, his fastball can hit 96 mph, enough to
