Baker said that in the second inning with a runner on, two outs and a 3-2
count on Jorge Posada, his athletic supporter broke, and his protective cup
slipped down his leg. An embarrassed Baker summoned catcher Joe Mauer to the
mound, and said: "Joe, my cup is down around my knees."

第二局投到一半，Baker 的 athletic supporter（類似腰帶）斷了，
結果護襠往下滑到他的膝蓋處，只好尷尬的叫 Mauer 過來。

"Well, what do you want me to do about it?" Mauer responded. It was
determined that the only available course of action was for Baker to request
time from the umpires to leave the field and get rid of the cup in relative
privacy. This occurred and Baker returned to retire Posada on an
inning-ending fly to center.

他倆決定唯一的辦法是跟主審請求暫停，然後跑進隱蔽處先把褲襠取下來。

"I wouldn't have put the thing on if I thought it was defective," Baker said.
"As soon as I felt the cup sliding down my leg, you know, it was pretty
comical. Fortunately, I had enough time between innings to get a new one."

回來解決 Posada 之後，再換一個新的。Baker 自己都覺得真是糗。
