[閒聊] NYY vs TEX Game 1

[mystique05 (Predicament)]

1. NYY clean-up is cursed. Next time maybe Joe Torre can give Andy Phillips a

   try. Otherwise wasting Giambi's or ARod's power is a pity.

2. I wonder Sheffield is in 100% healthy as he was 5-0 and left 7 runners

   stranded. He didn't hit the ball hard at all.

3. I am not criticizing Torre's arrangement today as Yankees led 7 runs

   entering the bottom of 8th inning. I guess he was going to let Small

   "adjust himself" but Small failed to meet our expectation. (again? maybe)

4. TEX was lucky enough by only allowing one run from 5th to 7th inning.

   Several balls were hit hard and we have seen many nice plays. We should give

   them credits for the bottom of 8th inning rally.

5. Mussina got his 229th career victory at his 450th game start. It is the 8th

   (or 7th) most wins after 196X. Those 7 pitchers ahead of Mussina are all

   HOFers. If Mussina can remain healthy for 3 or 4 years, I bet he will earn

   the ticket to the Cooperstown because of his consistency. He MIGHT get 270

   wins and 3000K before his retirement, but I mean IF because I am not

   expecting every pitcher can do what Clemens has done.

6. Mussina has not failed to pitch a QS in this season.

7. ARod yielded the first error this year when Mussina was on the mound.
