One of Derek Jeter's favorite expressions when he sees
Chien-Ming Wang is to yell out, "What up, Wang?" But
Jeter doesn't pronounce it W-O-N-G, he says W-A-N-G --
an intentional mispronunciation for comedic effect.
Yesterday at Camden Yards, what was up was Wang --
in the bullpen, in the 10th inning. There was nothing
funny about that.
