T.J. Beam, whose given name is Theodore, was originally an 11th-round pick by
Philadelphia in 2002 but opted to remain at the University of Mississippi. The
Yankees grabbed him in the 10th round a year later but early on there were few
signs that he would develop the way he has. While bouncing between Staten
Island and Battle Creek during the 2003 and 2004 seasons, Beam developed a
slider, marking a turning point in his career. Since incorporating the pitch
into his repertoire, Beam has advanced quickly and become a dominant reliever.
He began this season at Double-A Trenton but is already in Columbus, poised
to make the move to New York.

Mississippi大學。洋基在一年後於第10輪選秀得到他，但在那之前就有一些他會按照他

Scouting Report
Pitches:
Beam's fastball isn't overwhelming but it has enough movement to keep the
hitter true. His slider and split/change have become his real meal tickets,
the development of which has coincided with his emergence as one of New York's
top prospects. 
投球：
Beam的快速球不是壓倒性的但它有足夠的尾勁對打者奏效。他的滑球和指叉/變速球已經

Estimated Time of Arrival:
It's never easy to predict what the Yankees will do with a prospect regardless
of their recent history. Considering how well Beam has pitched over the last
year and a half, though, he should be in the Bronx some time this summer.
