Jeremy Sowers joined a club Monday night that is becoming not-so-exclusive.

Cole Hamels, Horacio Ramirez, Mike O'Connor, David Pauley, Scott Baker and
Anibal Sanchez are all part of the group, too. What do they all have in common?
They all pitched well against the Yankees this year in their first-ever start
against the Bombers.

Sower 跟其他一堆菜鳥投手生涯第一次碰上洋基都投的很好。

Sowers allowed two runs in seven innings, but truth be told, the Yankees just
didn't look like they had much on Monday. One player told me that the team was
"as tired as I've ever seen" after Sunday night's marathon win over the Mets,
which resulted in the Yanks arriving in Cleveland sometime around 4am.

洋基昨天打到半夜然後趕飛機清晨四點到克里夫蘭，今天整隊幾乎都累的半死。也難怪
今天都死氣沉沉。

I can relate. I got home from Yankee Stadium around 3am on Sunday night/Monday
morning, and my flight left for Cleveland just seven hours later. As I type
this now, I can barely get the words out. Thank goodness for spell-check.

Boston lost, so the AL East standings up top remain the same. Four games out,
lots of games left.

紅襪也輸了，差四場，還有超過半個球季。

Chien-Ming Wang wasn't at his best, but everyone is allowed an off night. Wang
had a spectacular June, so I wouldn't worry about one bad start.

王今天投的不怎麼樣但是考慮到他六月的表現今天小爆一場也沒人會怪他。

Also, has anybody else noticed that Matt Smith has yet to allow a run in his
career? Not bad. Smith did walk two guys on Monday, which is a quick way to Joe
Torre's doghouse, but 12 appearances without giving up a run is a good way to
stay on the manager's good side.

Smith 大聯盟生涯還沒失分，但是他的保送率大概還是會讓他成為Torre的最後人選。

OK, enough rambling. It's time to go to bed. Hope everybody out there has a
happy 4th of July and enjoys whatever barbeques or beach parties they may
attend. I'm sleeping in, then heading to Jacobs Field for another
Yankees-Indians game.

Chacon vs. Westbrook ... could be some fireworks. I actually expect a pretty
good outing by Chacon ... something in the neighborhood of 2-3 runs over 6-7
innings. The Yankees have faced Westbrook four times in the past three years,
so maybe the offense will have a chance.

明天可能是煙火大戰，但我有預感Chacon會投的不錯，而因為Westbrook不是生涯第一次對
上洋基的菜鳥所以大概會被洋基打爆。
