ST. PETERSBURG -- Jaret Wright struck out a career-high-tying 10 and held
Tampa Bay scoreless through six innings, as the Yankees won their third game in
as many days, 1-0, at Tropicana Field in front of a crowd of 25,584 on Friday
night.

聖彼德堡--Wright投出十次三振，六局中讓坦帕灣毫無得分，洋基也以1比0在最近贏了第

Wright threw 96 pitches during his outing, 56 for strikes, and allowed just
four hits and issued no walks.

The only other time Wright had fanned 10 was on Sept. 6, 1998, against Detroit.

Right fielder Bernie Williams singled in Jason Giambi in the fourth inning for
the game's only run. Williams finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. The
Yankees scattered just three hits off Tampa Bay starter Jae Seo, as Giambi
singled to start the fourth.

四局上Bernie Williams的一壘安打將Giambi送回得分，是這場比賽的唯一得分。他整場

Wright was shaky at the beginning, as the right-hander allowed the first two
Rays he faced to single and double, respectively. He shut the door after that,
retiring 12 of the next 14 batters he faced, while racking up seven strikeouts
over that period.

一開始萊特不穩，最先前兩名打者分別打出一壘與二壘安打。之後就關門了，接下來的14
名打者有12名被解決，其中包含7次三振。

After Williams' single, the Yankees were kept off the basepaths with 12 conse-
cutive outs. A fielding error in the eighth put Melky Cabrera on second base
with two outs, but Derek Jeter popped out to end the threat.

Williams一壘打後，洋基連續12名出局，無法上壘。在八局上兩出局時的失誤讓Cabrera
上到二壘，但是基特打出高飛接殺球。
